Microsoft Hybrid AD

I have connected an on-premises domain to Microsoft Azure Active Directory for this project. This involved using the Microsoft Active Directory Connect software to establish a connection between the two directories. Once the connection was established, the on-premises Active Directory users could replicate to the hybrid active directory of Microsoft Entra ID.

This process involved several steps. First, I had to establish a connection between the on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. This involved creating a new synchronization service in Azure Active Directory and configuring it to communicate with the on-premises Active Directory.

Once the synchronization service was set up, I had to configure the synchronization rules to ensure that the on-premises Active Directory users were replicated to Azure Active Directory correctly. This involved mapping the attributes of the on-premises users to the corresponding attributes in Azure Active Directory.

Finally, I had to monitor the synchronization process to ensure that it was working correctly. This involved monitoring the synchronization logs in Azure Active Directory and troubleshooting any errors that occurred.

Overall, the project was a success and the on-premises Active Directory users were successfully replicated to the hybrid active directory of Microsoft Entra ID.
